Lazy summers

My kids had a lovely lazy summer. All I asked for was:

  • walk the dogs for 2 hours every day
  • clean the living room, where the video games den is...
  • learn to do your own laundry (including mad dashing outside because it's raining ..then putting them back on)
  • wash all YOUR dishes and cups once I have done the wash up

That was not too much to ask, was it? Every mum can dream right?

Needless to say, they didn't do all of it all the time. Except walking the dogs, that is A RULE NUBBER 1 for us all, Because we love our lovely boxers so much that nothing else matters.

And still, they did have a lovely lazy summer, don't you think?

Easter Eggs

This year my egg colouring session was a bit of a disaster.

It turned out that the egg colours were a bit old and with no access to new ones I had to improvise a bit with the image processing to compensate. But I am happy with the result at the end.

Happy Easter weekend everyone!!!

CHRISTMAS in GALWAY

© Annie Japaud Photography, Galway Christmas Market

Every year, a few days before Christmas we  go to Galway visiting the Christmas market, then strolling through the city in the dark, admiring the decorated windows and soaking up the festive feeling in the air.

This is a part of our celebrations and there is something really lovely in walking on Shop street at Christmas time, all the lights are bright and colourful, there is a lot of people around, everyone is happy and chatting away, there are tempting  aromas floating from everywhere from all the cafes, food stalls and shops.

Enjoy the symphony of colours and lights and that gorgeous feeling of Christmas just around the corner...

THE C-WORD

I can not get away without posting a few thoughts and shots for Christmas. At my son's school the C-word is not allowed in any shapes, accents or combinations until about the sixth of December. That is when they decorate the windows, put up the Christmas tree and start practicing for the Christmas carol. Until then the C-word is banned!!

I have to say there is some truth into that.
If you start thinking about Christmas
from the end of October what magic is left in the name?!

Magic is what I am looking for...

thank you for the visit!!

July dreams in February

I am so tired of the rain and the bad weather I find myself daydreaming of summer. I am thinking of those wonderful July walks, very early ...
