Winter Light

Have you ever tried to look at something that you see everyday as if you see it for a first time?

It feels as if you are in the middle of a time lapse. Suddenly all details pop out and you can see an intricate and mesmerising world that you didn't even think existed.

You can hear the water running in the gutters, the golden sun rays envelop you in their embrace and   everything is submerged into a fantasy world of winter light and beautiful sounds.

I assure you, the ordinary can be magical and extraordinary as long as you decide to pause your everyday run and look with your mind's eye as much as your eyes.

Autumn days at Fairybridge

The summer goes by so fast, one day it's here full blast, hot and sticky and then one morning you wake up, go out for your early morning walk and the night wind chills you to the bones and the cold drizzle makes you wish you have your winter jacked on.

Well, once you feel that, believe me, summer has turned it's back on us, it's walking away fast and autumn is already here before you even think about it. Before you had time to ask yourself where did all the time go, how come we didn't do anything interesting...again... 

Just work, sleep, work and brief glimpses of blue sky with deep gulps of fresh air here and there ... 

I hope it was better for you, I hope you had time to enjoy the summer, to travel, to go to the beach and swim until you feel week under the sun, to climb mountains until you had just about enough of rocks, wild fires and lack of civilization.
Me I had my salvation - my camera,  so no matter what happens I always have a way out, as long as I can take photos.

The summer garden has changed at Fairybridge, the light is also different and I actually love the that new combination.

I just couldn't resist 

and post this solitary image I took yesterday morning before work. I take the dogs for a little stroll at 5am everyday (only when I am working) just to clear my head do a few exercises and enjoy the fresh air while they get a little breeder and do their business.

Usually the cats come as well, I can make a long post with those photos but that is a pleasant task for another day :) For now here is this one:

Fairybridge Summer

I got really lucky recently. I moved house. And not to any house but into a real fairy tale.

I guess no none will believe me until  I post some photos ;)

It has been a fantastic spring so far, I foresee an amazing summer!!

The place is called Fairybridge and this is how it looks like:

Living in a 280 year old house is the most incredible experience for me so far. 

It simply a dream...Think of all the photos coming up....
