July dreams in February

I am so tired of the rain and the bad weather I find myself daydreaming of summer. I am thinking of those wonderful July walks, very early in the morning, when everything is wrapped in green and flowers are smiling from every nook and cranny my eyes fall upon.

I am sure that I am not the only one thinking of summer in February. Honestly, this year we had a bit too much cold and rain, it is time for a change. It is time for the sun to come out, for the green to sprout and for the birds to start singing.

Until then, I will be looking at my photos from last summer, having July dreams in February, thinking of summer and waiting for the good weather.

The Lovely Grass

I know that normally people just admire the flowers because they are so abundant in summer but if you spent as much time as me walking in the countryside there is something you will notice and it will impress you forever, it is the lovely grass.

I have a weakness for the gentle stalks swaying in the morning breeze by the side of the road or sometimes as far as the eyes can see. Grasses are beautiful and come in so many shapes and sizes!! 

Next time you walk pay attention to the lovely grasses so green and gentle and so pretty!! 

I do believe they deserve a post of their own.

Nothing can make you feel as summery as the lovely green grass basking in the first rays of the morning sun by the side of the road. 

The fresh sweet smell of summer grasses floating in the air while you walk and the refreshing breeze caressing your skin while you walk...

It is the perfect summer scene!

UP THE OAK TREE

Next time you pass by an old oak tree, don't just continue unawares, pause, look up and feel.

Look up the glorious branches, follow the flickering light trough the dark green leaves and imagine the movement of the soft breeze passing through, feel its soft touch on the rustling leaves and breathe deep and exhale....Be one with your surroundings. It's all so beautiful, is it not?

Nature is simply perfect.

It is us with our actions that bring destruction and sadness.
