I am still processing the images I have taken during last year. It will take me a while to catch up since I keep taking new photographs all the time.

This is a process I can not control because I can never stop taking photos. Or if I do that means there is something terribly wrong with me. 

So here a few colourful shots from last fall to brighten your day.

A morning of peaceful photography

After 3 weeks of permanent storms - crazy rain and wicked wind, we woke up to a wonderful unexpected, glorious golden morning.  

Needless to say I was out in a flash with my fingers itching to take some pictures in peace and quiet without donging the wind and the falling raindrops.  

So here is what came out of that lovely gorgeous morning of peaceful photography:

 P.S I am very disappointed because once again I could not publish all the photos I had prepared since the colours went completely nuts!! 

Most of the photos were distorted and the colours run and bleached!! 
Does anyone know anything about this? I would appreciate some feed back. 

This is a photo blog, I need to rely on the proper presentation of colours and images!! 
If I can not publish my photos here in peace and as planned I certainly feel discouraged to continue working here in Google!!  

I am not giving up yet! But if anyone has some info please write to me!!

BAD WEATHER PHOTOGRAPHY

The weather has been so horribly bad for the last week it was simply impossible to do anything outdoors. 

I am not going to even mention a casual stroll with a camera in hand, not when there is a warning for everyone to keep indoors and keep the shutters bolted. 
Not when it keeps hailing every few hours - big hard balls of ice that the wind drives into the face with particularly unpleasant force!!  
Not when everything that is a bit loose and forgotten somewhere in the garden starts flying happily around  - you can simply forget about it!! 

It's been a hell of a week and apparently it is not over. The weather will continue to be unpleasant over Christmas and after that. Or so I heard. 

The only images I managed to take lately were from the car in the pouring rain and the horrible wind!!
I have too say I rather like doing that since I am not the driver mind you!! 
Certainly don't try to do that if you are driving please!! 

For some really annoying reason my best photos didn't upload properly!  

I had to delete them because their colours got distorted. 

Does anyone else has this problem?

Lets celebrate

Today is 11.12.13. 

A day that deserves a post of its own just because it's such a great number which will never ever happen again in all history of mankind. I find it so absolutely cool for no particular reason at all, just cracks me up. 

So, for this occasion, I have prepared some special photos to mark a special day.

11 FACTs ABOUT ME

1. I am madly in love with photography and never go anywhere without my camera. This is my RULE NUMBER 1 
2. My second passion is being outdoors, walking, hiking, mountain climbing etc... anything related to all that is my cup of tea. With my camera in hand obviously.
3. I am mad about water too. If I see a puddle, lake, mountain stream, ocean, sea, glacier lake, I am in it. Swimming is the only sport I ever did seriously in my life. 
4. I love to read. I am mad about books and I think that the smell of a brand new book is intoxicating. I am very open minded I read a lot of different genres - Sci-Fi and fantasy among my favourite though. I am a girl with a lot of imagination.  
5. I always listen to music - especially when I am working - I need to have the music going on strong!! The same as with books, I am open to many different styles that can surprise you, some can be a bit incompatible. 
6. I don't drive, I cycle or walk.
7. I don't like hot weather.
8. I love drizzling rain and fog.(!!I know?!)
9. I adore chocolate but I have't had any for ages...:-(
10. I want to go to Alaska and Iceland and take photos there until I drop!! 
11. I love trees, I eat healthy, I exercise every day, I love coffee and I haven't smoked for 12 years but I still enjoy a good glass of wine!!!

A BIT OF CHRISTMAS CHEER

I  needed a bit of cheering up today so I decided to post a few shots I took last Friday in Galway Shopping center. 

I have discovered that at this time of the year looking at Christmas images lifts my spirits up. Well, call me hopelessly romantic or soapy, or old-fashioned or corny ...whatever I don't really mind! I love it and that is that!!


This is the new Christmas decoration of the Gourmet Tart Co. shop window. I think it is really cool and deserves a bit of attention!! Good job and well done guys!!
